A revolutionary sneaker by all means, the Nike Zoom Kobe IV was only the second basketball shoe to ever use Flywire technology. More importantly though, it's a low top. Though low top hoops shoes have been tried before, this was hands down the most successful to date. Zoom Air cushioning and a Flywire upper made the sneaker very lightweight (the lightest ever at the time). The low top sneaker trend set in motion by the ZKIV continues to effect current designs and the way we view what makes for a "basketball shoe."
